So you got the Minecraft game and you have never checked whether it’s compatible with your PC or not. Well, Minecraft is simple yet one of the most addictive games in the fray and yes it isn’t that hardware hungry as the other graphics complex titles are. In fact, the graphics on the game are simple and you can probably run it with the computer you have at home. However, there are some measures that I have for you in order to check whether your system is allowing Minecraft to its arena or not. So without going further, let’s have a look at the system requirements for Minecraft.

What Are The System Requirements For Minecraft On PC

Just to let you know that a PC or laptop has the CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage and these are the components that decide how powerful your system is. Whereas, specifically here, I have compiled down the best PC requirements for Minecraft in order to ensure that you’re able to run the title on your system.

Minecraft minimum requirements

Processor: Intel Core i3-3210
Memory: 2 GB
Graphics Card: Intel HD 4000
Storage: 1 GB
OS: Windows 7 and up

Minecraft recommended requirements

Processor: Intel Core i5-4690
Memory: 8 GB
Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 360
Storage: 4 GB
OS: Windows 10

Note: To have the best experience with the game, my recommended requirements for Minecraft are much better and you’ll get the most out of it. However, if you already have a PC with minimum requirements, that’s completely fine because you don’t have to invest in your PC and the game will still run smoothly in low settings.

Can I Run Minecraft On Mac OS And Linux

Storage: 1GB
OS: OS X 10.9 Mavericks

Minimum Minecraft Linux system requirements

Graphics Card: Intel HD 4000
Memory: 2GB
Processor: Intel Core i3-3210

Can I Run It?

Can I Run Minecraft

Building a gaming PC for Minecraft doesn’t necessarily need a big budget. However, the game comes with some interesting features that only a gaming enthusiast with a powerful build can afford to experience.

Whereas, building a desktop for Minecraft is just a few-step process that includes an Intel Celeron J4105 which is powerful enough to handle the title. Whereas, if that’s not the option, you can have an AMD FX-4100 processor instead. On the other hand, for graphics, you’ll need to have the Intel HD Graphics 4000 housed inside your system or you can use an alternative such as an AMD Radeon R5 graphics card to run Minecraft. In addition to that, 4GB of RAM and 1GB of free storage are required to make your system ready to run the game.

However, for the ultimate experience, you can upgrade the specs and I would strongly recommend the Intel i7-6500U or AMD A8-6600K processor, NVIDIA GeForce 940M GPU, and 8GB of memory. The only difference between these two builds is a matter of experience. Don’t push yourself to the second build if you’re tight on budget and the minimum requirements will work.

Can I have Minecraft On Steam?

No, for now, the creators haven’t launched the game on steam but yes, you can have it on the PCGamePass. Hopefully, the Minecraft will be soon available on Steam we will enjoy playing it there.

What Will Run it?

As you already know the hardware that is required for the Minecraft game is no big deal as the game is not that graphics hungry. This means that You don’t have to invest more on a computer. You can simply go for one of these prebuilt gaming PCs under $600 or you can also build a gaming PC for $600.

Conclusion

It’s been more than 10 years since Minecraft has put a step in the gaming world and it’s one of the most popular and highly played titles since then. My opinion on the game is simple, it’s not the most graphics-rich title but the way you engage with different scenarios is what makes it interesting and addictive. Nonetheless, there are way better games out there that can beat it but as I said, just the feel of the game will make you addicted.
